Outdoor Exercise Tips
As the hot weather of summer approaches, most Islanders tend to enjoy the great outdoors more. Our Island is beautiful to explore and diverse with outdoor activities. You can golf, swim, bike, play recreational sports, hike, sail and so much more!
Physical activity can increase overall health and wellness. Studies suggest that regular physical activities promote relaxation, regulate body weight and increase your immune system. Here are some tips to consider when exercising outdoors.
- Stay hydrated and drink 500 ml of water for every hour you exercise outdoors.
- Always use sunscreen of at least SPF 15 and apply at least 20 minutes before activity.
- Fuel your body properly before exercise and bring snacks with you.
- Dress comfortably and be ready to face all weather conditions.
- Be safe; always let someone know where you are being active outdoors, and when you are expected to be finished.
So this summer head outdoors as often as you can and try new activities. Keep a schedule and mix up your routine a bit. Find an exercise buddy to be accountable to, weather it’s for an after supper walk or a Friday afternoon golf game. Enjoy the summer months the best way…..outdoors!

Kimspirational Angel Readings in Charlottetown
Rachelle’s good friend, Kim Doucette, will be back in PEI July 10- 15th and is now taking appointments for angel readings. Kim is an Angel Therapy Practitioner who has studied in Hawaii with Doreen Virtue. She is a psychic and medium, and can often communicate with passed on loved ones and speak to your guardian angels. Kim will be doing readings from Rachelle’s office July 14 and 15th. The cost for a 1 hour reading is $70, and Kim takes notes for you during the reading.
